The town of Yanceyville harkens back to the revolutionary war and the people who live here still hold a value for personal service, community and a quieter way of life. Caswell County, North Carolina, was established in 1777 by the first state government to take power during the Revolutionary War. It was named for Richard Caswell, the first governor of North Carolina.
